Devon Libraries have launched five Fixy donation points in libraries! You can donate electricals you no longer use; the devices are then refurbished, and the refurbished items are donated to those experiencing digital poverty.
The partnership with Fixy, Resource Futures, and Donate IT aims to tackle electronic waste in Devon and address the digital divide. Every year, over 100,00 tonnes of electricals are thrown away. So here is an opportunity to have a clear out of their old tech while helping the environment and others!
The five new donation points are:-
🟢 Cullompton Library
🟢 Totnes Library
🟢 Exeter Library
🟢 Tiverton Library – launches May 9th
🟢 Barnstaple Library – launches July 18th
