Woodland Management Group: Bluebell Walk

The Woodland Management Group has now finished work for the season on its coppicing project at Moor Farm near Morchard Bishop. It has been quite a frustrating winter for us, with a number of dates being cancelled because of bad weather.

We have however been blessed with one or two fine days, as the pictures show and have cut a surprising amount of wood, in the circumstances.

We are rounding off the season with supper at the London Inn at Morchard Bishop. In early May we are planning a bluebell walk and bring and share picnic to which any supporter of Sustainable Crediton is invited. The bluebells at Moor Farm are spectacular and the wood will be resplendent in its spring finery.

The bluebell walk will be on one of three possible dates, depending on how the season progresses: the 1st, 2nd or 6th of May. It will be a lunchtime / afternoon event. If you are interested in coming along and would like further details when plans are firmer, do drop me an email at mark for my attention.

Finally, a big thank you to Robert and Wendy Vere at Moor Farm for continuing to host our group and especially to Robert for his tractor and trailer taxi service to the deepest depths of the wood.

The Group looks forward to welcoming you and between us we should be able to offer lifts from Crediton and environs to Moor Farm.
