Our Big Green Fair is an annual event, in late September. The first was held in 2021, giving a much-needed lift to our spirits as we came out of lockdown. The Fair flags up the importance of working together to build a resilient, supportive, climate-conscious community.
What We Do
Each Green Fair to date has been a lovely, vibrant event with live music arranged by Crediton Arts Centre, delicious soup and cake supplied by our Community Larder team, and a huge variety of stalls showcasing our own green projects and the projects and campaigns that other local organisations are running. We generally have stalls promoting the Garden Club, Devon Wildlife Trust, ECOE energy advice, Recycling, Friends of the River Exe, Significant Seams, Crediton Town Council, Graham’s Bikes, Sassy Upcycling, Boniface Cycle Trail and much more besides. And games and craft activities for children to make sure that the fair is a fun out day for families.
Why It Matters
The Fair raises our profile and connects us with our community. People can learn about projects, get actively involved, and share thoughts on what we could do next to improve life in Crediton and the surrounding area. The Fair raises useful funds for projects including our Community Larder.
How to Get Involved
We start advertising our Big Green Fair from April onwards, asking volunteers and prospective stall holders to contact us.
Contact if you would like to know more about how to get involved.
