All are welcome to spend a leisurely Sunday morning walk looking at our local trees. We will be walking along the footpath from Crediton to Sandford. Meet at 11.00 am on Sunday 19 April 2026 at the Crediton end of the footpath.
Our focus on this walk is tree identification from buds and bark as well as leaves and shape. The footpath and Sandford Millennium Green were established in 2000 and there are both native and introduced trees along the way. It is suitable whatever your level of knowledge of trees!
The starting point of the footpath is on Higher Road near to the junction of Alexandra Road. Parking is available along Alexandra Road. The distance from Crediton to Sandford is about 1.5 miles. Please note that the path is on firm ground but there are some uphill sections on the return.
