Editorial, May 2026

Welcome to Sustainable Crediton’s newsletter.

We would especially like to draw your attention to two events coming up in the near future:

By kind offer from Jane Quicke, there is the opportunity to visit Quicke’s Farm at Newton St Cyres on 23rd May. How we use our land is absolutely crucial to so many of our concerns, whether it be biodiversity health, carbon sequestration, soil health, or of course the extent to which we can be self sufficient in food production. Follow the links to book your ticket.

Secondly, on 10th June we are screening the National Emergency Briefing. This is part of a nation-wide campaign, the purpose of which is to present the latest evidence on the climate and nature crisis and build an irresistible call for the Government to stage a televised emergency briefing, the essential first step towards the WW2-scale response now required.

We would love to see you at both events.

As always have a look through Other News and Dates for your Diary to get the full picture.

Best wishes to all, Lesley Thomas and John Craythorne, joint newsletter editors
