event now rescheduled for 30th September. Esther has booked
Boniface Centre - Dokkum and Fulda rooms (cost £90).
Esther has
written article on composting for SC website.
3)
Food Festival Recycling -17th and 18th June
After much
discussion the group decided to do this.
Actions:
Jill to organise volunteer rota (the group confirmed with her the
times they could do). Also to remind volunteers to wear gloves on
the day. Jill also to tell organisers that we are doing the
recycling and to liaise with Jason. Jill to supply bucket, w up
liquid. Jason to supply sacks and labels. Esther to bring recycling
banner and Anne to give Esther high viz vests for the beginning of
the event. Jill also to ask Jason if he would be able to take away
the plastic recycling.
Action:
Anne to research current refundable bottle campaign and get
poster/leaflets. Aim - to combine the recycling with informing the
public about something positive at the food festival. Use 'A' frame
from Ashtons.
4) Helping
Ruth with 'Love Food, Hate Waste'stall at Food
Festival
Action:
Esther to confirm with her that we can provide 2 or 3 people on the
day and to ask her what times she needs them. Esther to also ask
Foodgroup if they would like to be involved.
5) Give
and Take at Methodist Church 31st May to 3rd
June
Esther
reported that she has put together a provisional volunteer rota and
has informed Ann Varker at MC. Also has asked her if she would
like Refurnish to provide goods. Sarah from SC has asked Ann V if
she wants to advertise on SC website.
Action:
Esther to keep in touch with Anne and inform all of any action
needed. Anne to
put dates of event on SC website.
6) Working
with CAG - Various events throughout the year
Action:
Esther and Carolyn to go to Grubs Up event on 20th May.
Action:
Chris to go to Mid Devon Show on 22nd July.
Action:
Esther to inform Ruth and also to tell her that the group could
help at Soupstock, but more details are needed.

a) More
articles on recycling or other will be needed for the Sustainable
Crediton website in June.
b) Anne
gave feedback from Devon Community Recycling Network event she
attended on behalf of WAG -
40 people
attended. Many community groups represented.
Action:
Anne to write article for SC website.
8) Date of
next meeting
Discussed
possibilty of evening meetings, might try this in future. Nicola
from foodgroup can only attend in the evening.
Action:
Esther to ask Sarah if she had the names of anyone who would come
to an evening meeting.
