Arising from the last meeting
Reuse
project
Jill
attended meeting. Emma has kits for "Give and Take" events
including clothes rails. Reports of a sofa 'mountain'!
"Give and
Take" at Methodist Church in summer holidays
Esther had
been to look at the premises and reported that they were suitable.
Discusion of fors and againsts of running an event here. Concern
about the summer hols as volunteers and customers might be away.
Perhaps the Church could take over running "Give and Take" events
in the future? Discussion of running an event on the High
Street. Will need more money.
Action:
Esther to ask Church about other available dates.
Action:
Paula to look up rules on applying to ' Awards for All' a second
time.

1) Food
Festival, June 2016
Need to
get more information about trade waste before plans can be made
about this event.

Campaign to improve recycling by businesses
3) Repair
Cafe
Could run
this as a one off as part of a give and take event with the view to
runnning on a regular basis. (Electrics, Sewing, Mechaical
etc).

to advertise in SC website for skilled people.

Stretchy Plastic Bags
Run a
collection in Crediton?

Esther to research places to send plastic. To contact Emma,

Devon
Recycle Awards
Decision
taken to put ad and editorial in Crediton Courier asking the public
to vote for Esther in the People's Choice of the Devon Recycle
Awards.

Anne/Charles to put info on SC website, Facebook
etc

Esther to send Paula picture and link to Paula asap. Paula to
organise ad and editorial. Anne to put on website.
Food Waste
Petition
Decided to
leave this to the food group for action for now. Revisit after the
Food Waste Bill goes through parliament this week.

WAGs entry
on SC website. Discussed future ideas on this page.
Action:
Anne to update WAGs entry and will put on info re Tiv repair cafe
and to ask for volunteers for a similar service
for Crediton.
Discussion
of new successful North Tawton plastic collections. Should WAG be
lobbying for similar schemes in other towns in the West Devon area,
e.g. Okehampton?

March, date depending on when Jason from MDDC can make it to
discuss food festival recycling.
Action:
Jill to contact him to arrange a suitable date.
