Let's End Waste on Coffee Cups

Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall has highlighted the number of coffee cups being thrown away in this country - around 7 million per day or 2.5 billion per year. Many people think they are being recycled, but very few actually are - less than one day's worth are being recycled!

To see more details of his findings click on the link Wake up and smell the waste.

Friends of the Earth are also campaigning to reduce this unecessary waste. To get involved click on the title.

What Can You do?

Find out where you can take your own coffee container to fill up. Locally, Crediton Leisure Centre will allow you to bring your own.
