Paula to
resend details of recycling businesses to all for the Reuse
project.

Feedback from Recycling at Food Festival
The nature
of the festival has changed with more professional food outlets
needing an effective waste disposal service. We might need to do
the recycling in a different way in future. Perhaps the 4 bins in
the square could be blocked off.
Action -
Jill to contact Jason at MDDC to ensure that all the waste we
collected was recycled properly.
Action -
Esther to contact Tim to see if the Food Festival is having a
feedback session and to ask for a member of WAG to
attend.

Refurnish Give and Take Event
Discussion
of practicalities involved in putting on the event now that WAG
have met with Kate at Refurnish.
Action -
Paula to email volunteers asking for help. Deadline for reply. To
let WAGs know the outcome by the end of July.
Action-
WAG to make a decision on whether to go ahead when volunteers have
replied. May need to start work early Sept.

Charles to contact Kate to see if she has any volunteers who would
help.
5)Plastic
recycling - last one
25th July
Discussion
of confusion with MDDC taking over plastic
recycling.
Action -
Paula to put ad in Courier for 13/07 and thanking all for their
past support.
Action -
Paul to do article for Courier in Sept reminding people that we are
no longer doing plastic recycling. Also, informing people that they
can have an extra black box for their plastic if
necessary.

later, to write letter with info to encourage public to use the new
system.

later, to contact Felicity at MDDC for feedback on new
system.

Esther to ensure all leaflets, posters in town are taken down and
to send thank you card to Peck and Strong.

Anne and Charles to speak to PWS about 25/07 collection. Anne to
take green and black boxes on 25/07 and give out recycling info to
people and to have a volunteer sign up list.

Charles to get info from MDDC about the issue of 'stretchy plastic'
and to contact Uffculme Group.
The group
decided to campaign to increase public's recycling awareness once
the new system has had time to settle in. Possibly do an article
for the paper entitled 'What's my rubbish got to do with global
warming?'
6)
Crediton Neighbourhood Plan
Four objectives
agreed by group.
Action -
Esther to send these to Gerald on SC core group. Anne and Charles
to check them before going to Town Council.
7)

Sustainable
Crediton volunteer event this Saturday in Market Square.
