On a bitterly cold day 5 volunteers manned the waste plastics collection from about 9am to 12:30pm. PWS dropped off the dumpy bags nice and early so we cleared away some bags of plastic left before we arrived, before the main rush of customers started to come. PWS went off to Sandford to collect 9 dumpy bags and Cheriton Fitzpaine where there were 15 bags. These were both record amounts. Back in Crediton around 40 more bags were filled. A complete surprise was the arrival of about 8 bin liners of milk bottle tops destined for Noah's Ark Children's Hospital Charity.

A waste plastics collection is being held at Peck & Strong, Lords Meadow Industrial Estate - close to the Leisure Centre and next door but one to Eakers. For details of location see map below.

Any CLEAN food, drink and household plastic containers will be accepted.

Our collection does not replace the Punchbowl facilities but is intended to compliment them, and to help those who find travelling to the Punchbowl difficult. It is aimed at increasing the amount of plastic that is recycled and so reducing landfill.
