Recycling rates in Mid Devon currently stand at about 55% by weight of total waste. This means that almost half of everything we throw out ends up in landfill. That's an awful lot of resources that could be recycled and money that could be saved on our council taxes.

How? Landfill tax is charged on all waste going to landfill and is passed on by the council so ends up on our council tax bill!

By recycling everything possible, it is quite possible to get your recycling rate to more than 90%! How high can you go? To help, we have created a recycling list on the website telling you where you can recycle everything from aluminium foil to vegetable oil.
