A Pop Up Shop With a Difference

30 November 2014

Crediton Give and Take Fortnight

Sustainable Crediton's Waste Action Group are pleased to announce the imminent arrival  of Give and Take Fortnight, a pop up shop on Crediton High Street with a major difference.... everything in it will be Free!!

Give and Take Fortnight will take place at 21 High Street Crediton (the old Gees shop) from 6th to 21st February 2015. It will be open from 10am to 4pm daily, except Sundays, and staffed by Sustainable Crediton volunteers. The shop has been made possible thanks to sponsorship from the Big Lottery Fund and Devon County Council's locality fund.

The aim is to recycle perfectly good, reusable household goods people no longer need to stop them ending up in landfill, and also for Kirtonians to have some fun and the unique experience of shopping for goods that are absolutely free!

Of course to make the shop a success WE NEED YOU to start emptying your cupboards. Look out all those books, toys, cd's, garden tools, ornaments, clothes and household goods you no longer need that are taking up space and are still in perfectly good, useable condition. Bring them along to the shop and we will sort them and put them on display for others to browse through and take away.

It will not be necessary to bring along goods in order to come and 'shop'. However we are sure you will agree this is the ideal opportunity to have a good sort out at home and also dispose of those unwanted Christmas presents to grateful recipients. So start getting organised now, and every time you open a wardrobe, cupboard, drawer or the garden shed and look inside ask yourself, 'do I really need that'?

There are 2 months until we open, so you have plenty of time to make a grand pile of donations, plus create lots of new space at home to house all the FREE goodies you could be bringing home from the shop!!

Thanks for your help
