Forty nine newsletter readers responded to the Waste Action Group's mini-survey about the proposed changes to Mid Devon's recycling service from October 2015. The respondents were broadly not in favour of the introduction of a charged garden waste collection service, however the great majority were quite happy to have their landfill waste and doorstep recycling collected by the Council on a fortnightly basis. There was a 100% delighted response to the news that the Council are proposing to start collecting household plastic waste at the doorstep. The survey results have not yet been fully analysed or discussed by the Waste Action Group. Once this is done we will be communicating the results of the survey to the head of environmental Services at MDDC.
