6. Transition Honiton Talk

Anne had undertaken the talk. Approx 16 people had attended including members of Transition Honiton, Sustainable Ottery, Sustainable Wellington and 2 East Devon Councillors.

Anne went through how we got started and what our collections involve.

Honiton are looking to perhaps start a collection on their monthly market day.

SITA are opening a plastics recycling/heat from plastic plant at Bristol in the near future which may change whole market for plastics.

Legislation is likely to come into being in Devon to standardise recycling across the county and mean that all plastic bottles are collected across Devon.
