Sustainable Crediton is taking part in a biscuit wrapper recycling contest that is offering £1,000 in prizes to be donated to schools, charities or voluntary groups. The contest runs from 8 April to 7 October 2013 and all brands of plastic biscuit wrappers can be collected and included. These wrappers would  otherwise normally end up in landfill, but through this scheme can  be recycled into new products such as watering cans, garden benches and waste bins.

Please help and collect your biscuit wrappers for us to send off. Each wrapper attracts points and the more points collected, the more money is raised, which we are donating to the Crediton Food Bank. We will be collecting wrappers right through until October, starting at our Household Plastic Recycling Day on Saturday 4th May. This will be held as usual from 10am to 12.30pm at Peck and Strong, near Eakers on Lords Meadow Industrial Estate.
