Review of Clothes Swap
to
Boniface Centre, Crediton EX17 2AH
We held another very successful Clothes Swap. About 125
people came along and swapped indoor and outdoor clothing of
all sizes and shapes during the day.
There was also a demonstration area where the Crediton Knit Wits
and Spinning Group demonstrated their craft to interested
people who then had the opportunity to try out both knitting and
spinning for themselves.
Ann Taylor, an experienced curtain maker from Exeter, also
showed people how to alter and update curtains and Hermione
Skrine, Karen Rickey and Sam Pearce held a clothes repair workshop
helping people learn how to make simple clothing repairs such
as sewing on buttons and taking up hems.
Many thanks also to all the volunteers including those who
helped make the event happen by accepting and sorting the
clothes and also to the Food Group who provided an excellent
service of soups and yummy cakes to keep everyone fed.
