Recycle your stretchy plastic!
Anne Tucker
Stretchy plastic can be recycled at the
supermarket
Although MDDC now collect plastic for recycling there are
still some types of plastic not accepted by them.
However, Morrisons in Crediton, and other supermarkets with
a recycling point for plastic bags will accept other
plastic - even though they may not advertise this!
As well as carrier bags, other plastic bags such as those from
bread, frozen food, toilet rolls, kitchen towel and cereal
inner bags are all acceptable. Soft plastic wrap from
magazines and plastic around multipack tins or bottles can also be
included.
The main exception is that cling film cannot be
accepted.
Slim your bin and reduce the waste plastic
even more!
