Sarah's Barber shop at 85 High Street Crediton has become a
drop-off point for ring-pulls from cans which are recycled to make
unique gifts such as handbags and jewellery. The Openwork
Foundation who support disadvantaged children and young people are
behind the scheme.
Sarah's has also become a drop-off point for plastic milk bottle
lids for the Noah's Ark, Children's Hospital Charity in cardiff who
collect and sell them to raise money to buy wheelchairs for young
children in need.
All money raised goes to the two named charities.
Ring-pulls and bottle tops can be dropped off during opening
times: Mon, Tue and Fri 9am to 5pm; Wed 9am to 1pm; Thu 9am to
6.30pm and Sat 8.30 am to 4pm.
