  • Plastic recycling video on u-tube
  • Biscuit wrapper collection to raise money for charity (Terracycle)
  • Waste plastic collections - 14 tonnes of waste plastic collected

 Plastic Collections Graph (Cumulative)

Current activities include:

  • Liaison with MDDC and DCC
  • Food festival waste sorting & recycling
  • Increase awareness of local recycling centre and facilities
  • Guide to recyclables and where to take them. Promote recycling by charities.
  • Education on how and where to recycle more
  • Articles in the local press e.g. Crediton Courier

Future ideas to develop in order to recycle more:

  • Liaison with the Arts Centre to produce a fun playlet in order to promote the recycling message
  • Litter awareness campaign looking at the cost of rubbish
  • Campaining to increase plastic recycling by organisations
  • Further recycling campaigns (e.g. like Terracycle) to expand current recyclables
  • Further work alongside MDDC and DCC on recycling
