Did you know that you can hire Brompton folding bikes at Exeter
St Davids station - very useful for getting about in Exeter if you
can't, or don't want, to take your bike on the train. And just as
useful if you are taking the train from Exeter, as you'll have no
trouble getting it onto the train, and can then use it at your
destination!
To encourage use of the Brompton Dock
in the station car park, Sustainable Crediton is teaming up with CTC Exeter and
Brompton Dock to organise a day out. Here is the plan:
A 10 mile ride from Exeter to Exmouth along the Exe Estuary Trail, with options to
return by train.
Meet 10.00 a.m. outside Exeter St Davids Station. Arrive early
to collect your bike from Brompton Dock.
Tea stop at Topsham's Route 2 cafe.
Lunch at Exmouth.
Return to Exeter by train (or cycle back) by about 4.00 p.m.
For free Brompton Dock cycle hire for the day, with
membership for £1, register
beforehand using this promo code:
EXE2013.
Please email John Skrine if you intend to come, as it's not
possible to book a bike more than a day in advance, and we'd like
to know how numbers are coming along.
See the story in the Express &
Echo. And do tweet the ride using the short url to this page,
