  • To hold a community electric bike event during National Bike Week.

  • To achieve two way traffic for cyclists along Belle Parade and Church Street by 2012

  • To ensure that Jockey Hill cycle path becomes solely a cycle path.

  • To achieve a safe Crediton - Exeter cycle path by 2014 at the latest.

  • To continue to encourage schools to run Bikeability training.

  • To increase awareness and use of the town bus service.

  • To encourage and report on the reliability and punctuality of service buses.

  • To work with local groups for a train service from Crediton to Okehampton and to lobby against any closures to local stations on the Tarka Line. Also to lobby for more trains at peak commuter times and for more bike space.

  • To encourage the development of village car sharing schemes.

  • To form a Car Club in Crediton by 2014.

Leaf Electric Car at Community Market Crediton

Transport Group are delighted that Councillor Kay Bickley from Okehampton will be bringing her Leaf Electric car to the Community Market on May 12th. Do come, admire and ask about Crediton's plans for the recharging of electric vehicles.  

Kay is heading up one of eleven UK 'Team Green Britain' projects. Check out the project and please vote for it on Team Green Britain day as her project could win £10,000 to put EV infrastructure into Devon which would make a good contribution towards EV infrastructure in Crediton.
