The aim of the day is to get people to leave their cars at
home, explore other options of getting to work and to reduce their
carbon footprint. Commuters have been very creative in previous
years, using tandems, space-hoppers, hobby-horses, wheel-barrows,
stilts, wheelie bins, rowing boats, horses, kayaks, skateboards and
piggy backs to get to work. In 2007 people taking part in the

It may not be possible for everyone to go without their car on
22nd September so car sharing is another option where people can at
least reduce the number of cars on our roads by joining Car Share
Devon.
