In the winter just gone the Tree Team carried out further
planting at Beacon Park, partly to replace saplings 'lost' from the
previous year's planting, partly to expand the planted area.
On a recent check, we found that ten of the newly planted trees
have disappeared from their protective guards, as happened
previously. This is very odd, and somewhat galling. If any of our
supporters who live in the area could keep an eye out for the
trees, that would be welcome.
We shall persist with the planting scheme for the park and hope
to replace those lost next winter. If anyone has seedling trees in
their garden, do hang on to them and we will aim tp move them to
make use of them in the future.
