Our Woodland Management Group is back in business, meeting every
second Monday through until the end of March.
We are continuing with a long term programme of work carrying
out coppicing and general woodland management at Moor Farm, near
Morchard Bishop. It's a beautiful, mature woodland in a typically
steep sided Devon valley. It is a great place to spend time
outdoors through the winter months.
We use a range of hand tools, mostly loppers and bow saws, and
chainsaws. Chainsaw users must be trained, certificated and
equipped to the standard set down by our insurers and must satisfy
the group that they will work safely and responsibly.
We meet up at 10am and work through until 3pm at latest. We work
at a steady and manageable pace, with breaks for coffee and
lunch.
