Our Woodland Management Group will be starting up again later in October.

We will continue with our work on an organic dairy farm near Morchard Bishop, which has an extensive area of mixed woodland set in a deep valley. Our work consists of coppicing and general woodland maintenance, with possible opportunities to do some hedge laying.

We would like to pursue opportunities for tree planting, but that may depend upon finding new people to join us. This could happen at a different time of week, to suit.

We meet fortnightly on Mondays until the spring, working at a civilised and safe pace which allows time for coffee, picnic lunch and philosophising. We meet at 10.00am and finish around 3.00pm.

It's of great benefit to body and soul at a time of year when it's easy to sink into indolence!
