Review of Woodland and Hedgerow Work Party 1/2016 to
Poltimore Church
Sunny and bright, with a chill wind and the threat of showers.
Dave's saw was performing below par and it fell to meEddy to take
on the felling. Some awkward leans were overcome with Pete's rope
skills, both lashing and anchoring coming to the fore, the man is a
legend in some parts of Poltimore. A lot of beech was felled and
processed. Most of the timeEddy managed to purvey an aura of calm
expertise .................Eddy may have managed to get away with
it.
6 people attend: Dave, Pete. Eddy, Emma, Alan and Charles
We will be cutting an overgrown beech hedge to about 4 to 5 feet
high.
First we will assess the work to be done and see how we can
protect the wrought iron fence from falling timber.
