This will be a session to tidy up the orchard and burn all the
brash we have created. If the weather is fine it is envisaged that
we might roast vegetables in the fire embers and finish off the
season with a fire side social.
In the morning, eight of us collected the orchard brash into
three piles and set fire to them. We roasted potatoes, squash and
pumpkin in the embers and had a delicious lunch. Later we went to
the coppice area tidied up from last time and Dave planted some
hazel saplings.
