Review of Woodland and Hedgerow Winter Work Party 2 to
Tucking Mill Farm, Zeal Monochorum, EX17 6DF
At this work party we began work in the woodland by coppicing
hazel and blackthorn trees. Brash was laid in racks to create
wildlife habitat. A surprisingly large area of woodland was managed
in this way by the five members of the group who attended. We need
to address how we will remove the timber from the wood, as the cars
are parked a good 150 metres from the work site.
No wood was cut down which would qualify for the forestry
commission wood removal licence.
