Over the summer we have agreed with the owners of Tucking Mill
Farm in Zeal Monochorum to manage a piece of woodland as well as
lay one of their hedgerows. We will no longer be working in Newton
St Cyres as the farmer there will be using the field where we
worked to keep sheep. As a result of managing the woodland at
Tucking Mill, there may well be more wood available compared to
just laying a hedgerow.
It will be our intention once again to work, weather permitting,
twice a month, once on a hedgerow and once in the wood. The first
work party will be Sunday 5th October with the second on
Monday 20th October. Thereafter from November
onwards we will operate the work parties on the first Sunday and
third Wednesday of the month.
Anyone is welcome to attend, but please contact Charles Mossman first to
get a briefing on what equipment to bring etc.
