Review of Share, Grow, Eat! Sustainable Crediton's Seed Share event to
Boniface Centre, Church Lane Crediton EX17 2AH
Once again, the Sustainable Crediton Seed Share was a great
success. Visitors were able to enjoy stalls such as the
Community Larder, explaining how the larder is helping to reduce
food waste. Other stalls holders included the Devon Wildlife Trust,
Orchards Live, the Crediton Garden club, Turning Tides, stalls on
Bees and Hornets, Imogen Hallam brought her yummy honey, People
Love Plants and Craft stalls. Information stands showed what
Sustainable Crediton is doing including tree planting , the
Community Allotment and the Pollinator group.
Fantastic music was provided by the Crediton Youth Orchestra
and there was our usual selection of tasty homemade
lunches.
Starting early, - do think about saving seeds from the plants
you grow this year ready to bring to the Seed Share next year.
Leave a few plants to go to seed or plant a few in pots to let go
to seed. A good guide to saving seeds is at www.realseeds.co.uk.
