The not very impressive looking twig in the ground in the photo
below is our new Marjorie Seedling Plum , which hopefully should
give us a bit of fruit in a couple of years. Scroll down for

I know I said it last month, but really soon the purple
sprouting broccoli should sprout and hopefully the broad beans
(pictured below) will start flowering soon. I'm really impressed
how well they survived the repeated cold weather. There's still a
bit of kale. We've started turning our thoughts to spring,
revamping the soil in the trugs, weeding the soft fruit and
starting to clear the new bed for potatoes. We look forward to
getting some manure from the Young Farmers in early March.
March will see someone up at the allotment every Wednesday from
11am until 2pm, weather permitting . Remember if you'd like to get
involved but Wednesdays don't suit you just email me via the link
on this page and we can arrange a different time. Bring on
spring!
If you are planning to come but the weather looks iffy, check
the Crediton Community Allotment Facebook group for any
updates.
