In partnership with local residents, we have now completed
planting with bee friendly flowering plants on the corner of
Landscore and Greenway, at the same time greatly enhancing the
appearance of a previously neglected corner.Thanks to everyone

Our planting for pollinators site had been looking a bit
bedraggled in best Covid fashion, until the lockdown eased and we
were able to have a weeding session.
Much improved now, with further planting to follow to maintain
insect friendliness and human appreciation.

Surprisingly perhaps, the majority of food waste in the UK comes
from our homes: some 10m tonnes annually. Many communities have set
up community fridges / larders so that surplus food (from all
sources of course) is no longer wasted but goes to those who need

Asian Hornets are an invasive species which predate upon bee
colonies and other native insects, and as such can be very
damaging.
They are active in the summer months and may be found in

businesses, but one good thing may have come out of it. More of us
have been looking at shopping differently, buying from small
independent shops, who, in this crisis have been there and so

Now is time to be sowing many vegetables and flowers. In the
coming months we may need some cheering up and perhaps some
livening up of our meals.

event.
There will be:
Local and Heritage Seeds: take some this year, bring some back
to share next year;
Lunch to enjoy with friends, made from local surplus food;
