The Festival features over 70 illuminated and decorated
trees ranging from 3 to over 25 feet in height filling the church,
which makes a spectacular display the length of the church,
especially as the natural light began to fade!
Sustainable Crediton's tree is decorated by Sustainable
Crediton's Food Group. We have chosen 'Pigs and Wonky Carrots' as
our theme. Pigs, because 2016 saw the successful launch of
Crediton Pig Club, which brings together pork-lovers with local
smallholders to supply locally produced meat with high welfare
standards and encourage an interest in small-scale animal
husbandry. We are currently recruiting members for the 2017 Pig
Club. Wonky carrots, to highlight our focus this year on
supermarket food waste, and ways to reduce and make use of it.
Refreshments are available in the Boniface Centre and
visits to the bell tower and Governors' room are a popular
addition to the festival.
