The last market of the year was not looking good weather-wise,
the forecast was poor and it did rain heavily just as the few
stall holders that came had got set up. But then the sun came out,
more stallholders came along and we had a good market. The stall
holders felt they had their best market this year.
Orchards Alive had come with their display and apple crushing
equipment and several local people brought apples, had them crushed
and pressed and took away their own fresh apple juice. Many thanks
to Orchards Alive for their enthusiastic involvement.
Don't forget the seed swap. If you haven't already, look round
the garden for seeds you can save. They can be vegetables, flowers
herbs, or shrubs. It is very easy, look on our website for how to
find information on saving seeds
The next seed swap is on 21st February at the Town
Hall in Crediton. We hope to have the usual good range of saved
seeds and seeds from the Heritage Seed Library for you to try.
There is no charge just a pot for donations if you wish. In
addition we have information stalls and refreshments. It is a good
time to meet up and chat with friends and likeminded people. Put
the date in your diary, more information about the day to follow in
the New Year.
