Wild Flower Garden Watch Slideshow 5

Bees are busy
A riot of colour

The wild flower garden is a riot of colour this month.  We now have a sneaking suspicion that a packet of North American wild flowers were mixed with our native ones!  One cannot deny that cosmos and one or two others are definitely not British wild flowers. Despite that, the array of beauty is undeniable and the garderner is filled with joy every morning he visits the wild flower patch!  The sunflowers which have all flourished as well, alongside the border against the veg patch, were gleaned from the bird table.  Apparently, the choosy birds ate all the other seeds and left this particular sunflower seed alone.  It will be interesting to see if they eat them directly from the growing plant - watch this space.....
