Concerned about food waste, a small group of Sustainable
Crediton members have got together to organise a food larder scheme
in the town in which food, which might otherwise be thrown away, is
collected from shops and supermarkets and placed in a larder for
people to take and use. We have been pleased to have had so much
encouragement and support from staff at potential larder locations
and potential donators and feel confident that something will be
getting off the ground in the New Year.
Volunteers are needed, not only to collect the food and
distribute it, but also to administer the scheme and manage social
media. If you are able and willing to help in any way, please let
us know by emailing me via the link on this page.
