Pancakes with lemon juice and caster sugar are a favourite, but
try adding currants to the batter for a change. If you prefer
something savoury try this filling: mushrooms, thinly sliced and
cooked in Devonshire butter, seasoned and finished with a spoonful
of double cream and chopped chives.
Spoon onto the pancakes before rolling or folding them.
