Ingredients
- 4 quinces, peeled, cored, cut in chunks poached until soft in ½
cup water with 2 tblsp sugar
- ½ cup sugar
- 60gms butter
- 1 cup SR flour
- 1 egg amd a little milk
Method
Spread quinces and juices in a baking dish.
Cream butter and sugar, beat in egg and fold in flour, adding a
little milk for a soft cake mixture. Smooth over quinces.
Bake in moderate oven for 25 - 30 mins. Serve hot with cream or
custard or eat cold as cake.
