Worked well last year and I can provide lots more crab
apples for anyone who wants them.
Ingredients:
- 4lbs crab apples, just chopped up a bit
- 3lbs blackberries, a couple of pints of water -
stewed together
Method:
- When cool, pass through muslin suspended on an upside down
stool.
- Measure the resulting liquid and add less than 1lb sugar for
each pint.
- Boil as for jam until set and put in clean [scalded] warm
jars.
