In response to current outrage about the state of our rivers, we
are setting up Friends of the River Exe. It's a time of great
threat for all our waterways nationally, and alongside
others across the country, we are inviting communities along the
Exe to act now to save our river. We hope you will join
us!
Our aim is to be a voice for the river, bringing together the
diverse grass roots organisations and people who live, work and
play along the river Exe and its tributaries - to protect, restore
and celebrate our river.
To get us started we are holding three people's assembly
style "River Conversations" to pool ideas about what
actions we can take together. We invite you to be a part of
this.
The River Conversations will be in three locations
along the river; Tiverton, Exeter and Exmouth:
Tiverton - Monday 24 April, 6-8pm, St George's church extension,
St George's Church, Tiverton EX16 6LN
Exmouth - Tuesday 25 April, 6-8pm, Exmouth Railway Club, GWRSA, 3
The Royal Avenue, Exmouth EX8 1EN
Exeter - Wednesday 26 April, 6-8pm, Exeter, location tbc
RSVP to Friends of the River Exe via the link on this page as soon
as possible letting us know which you'll be attending. In
your email please feel free to provide contact details of anyone
else who you know who cares passionately about the
river.
We welcome you to also sign up here
for updates about FORE as it develops.
We really look forward to hearing from you and we hope to join
with you in our mission on the River Exe!
Warm wishes,
Mary and Clare
