Lapford news:
Members of the Lapford community have been working to make
the new space at Lower Town Place more wildlife friendly. They have
carried out various plantings, including a hedge around one
boundary, and shrubs, trees and wild flowers in other areas. A
hedgehog hotel (hibernaculum), and a reptile and amphibian home
have been built in one corner. Nestboxes have also been erected. It
is hoped that this can be part of a bigger strategy to enhance
wildlife areas in the whole village.
