The Age of Stupid is a 2009 British film by Franny Armstrong,
director of McLibel and Drowned Out and founder of 10:10; and
first-time producer Lizzie Gillett. The film is a drama documentary
about a man in 2055 watching archive footage of life in mid to late
2000s and asking "Why didn't we stop climate change when we had a
chance?"
Franny Armstrong now lives near Tiverton and Sustainable
Villages are excited that she has agreed to come along to the
screening for a short question and answer session after the
film.
The films premiere was in Leicester Square in 2009 and was
linked by satellite to 62 cinemas around the UK and received a
Guiness World record for being the largest film premiere ever based
on the number of screens.
The Age of Stupid will be screened at Petroc on October
1st
Arrive @ 6.45pm for a prompt 7pm start.
We are expecting a great deal of interest and Tickets -
£2.50 each- will be on sale at the venue on a first come
first served basis.
