A Transition Take on the UK Low Carbon Plan

Rob Hopkins casts a critical eye over the UK government's low carbon transition plan: After many months of Ed Miliband putting himself out there as a Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change that actually gets climate change, finally his big Plan, the UK Low Carbon Transition Plan was unveiled recently, in a speech in the House of Commons that name checked Transition Towns and which is the boldest national vision for a low carbon society yet seen. 

You can read the whole lot here. It's a bit gigantic though, 228 pages, so not recommended for the faint hearted.

Want to feel boffin knowledgeable about environmental issues or just fancy something a bit more empowering than the latest 'romcom' this weekend? Look no further! Top DVD and 'green' book titles are available right here in the middle of your community for you to borrow….'doing your bit' has never been so easy!

This is just the beginning…….

Coming soon - a complete inventory of books and DVDs available for you to borrow from both the Greenhouse & Crediton library.

Continue to work with Crediton library to build a similar offering to the TTT Books, Films & Magazines selection at Totnes library. The resources are available to order through the local Devon libraries.
