The 2nd Annual UK Climate Camp will take place this summer from
Tuesday 14th to Tuesday 21st August (but people are welcome to
come just for a few days of the week). Last year's camp was
organised into smaller regional camps
called 'neighbourhoods' or 'barrios' which managed their own
affairs as communtities within the camp's wider structure, co
operating with each other to ensure the success of the camp as
a whole.
The Climate Camp is a working example of non-hierarchical
grassroots education and action to address the root causes of
climate change. The camp is an ongoing process determined by
concerned individuals thorugh consensus based forums. There
will be a programme of workshops, discussions, actions in the
setting of a lived experiment and experience of sustainable
living.
All ages and abilities welcome.
