Made by a young British director and producer, Franny
Armstrong, on a small budget, it stars Oscar nominated
Peter Postlethwaite as a man living alone in the Arctic
in 2055.
He is looking back at the years 2008/9 and the warnings the
world was getting about the beginnings of climate change.
In his world of 2055 the Arctic is permanently ice free
and the world's population of people, animals and
plants has been virtually wiped out. Why? Because during
the Age of Stupid, the years between 1988 and 2015,
during which humanity had become aware of the
likely consequences of greenhouse gas emissions and still
had time to avert catastrophe, it had largely chosen to
ignore the warnings.
