interested in sustainable ways of supporting our local economy!
There is a massive opportunity to lead progressive change in
Devon. Already there are exciting community-led economic solutions
emerging across the region, as well as effective strategies,
innovative projects, and energetic collaborators.
The programme for the day features experts like Tony Greenham,
new economics foundation; Julie Richardson, Schumacher College; and
Mark Burton, from the Bristol Pound. We'll discuss local
currencies, community-supported entrepreneurism, regional finance
mechanisms, and bioregional design, as well as opportunities for
food, energy, and housing development that builds resilience and
benefits local people.
The organisers are from Transition Towns and REconomy, Social
Enterprise Networks, Sustainability Groups and NGOs across the
region.
The film Transition in
Action highlights some examples of what's already
happening.
