Crediton Community Bookshop's Patron, Mal Peet, has kindly
agreed not only to be the keynote speaker, but to read from, and
sign, his entertaining new book, The Murdstone Trilogy, at the
Bookshop at 12.30 p.m.
From 10.00 a.m., and after the AGM, self-published writers from
Exeter and Mid Devon will be present to show and talk about their
works. It's an opportunity to discover just some of the writerly
creativity in the area, and perhaps find a Christmas present or
two. Coffee and cakes will be available, and as a further
inducement, attendees will be eligible for a 10% discount on books
at the Bookshop on the day.
A local writing couple who need your support right now are Heidi
and Daniel Howarth, whose charming children's picture book
Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Bear? is currently seeking crowd
funding on Kickstarter. They need your support by 12th November,
and you can meet them at the Book Fair.
