We shall be holding our Annual General Meeting on 10th April at
7pm in the Arts Centre. Further details under 'Dates for your
Diary'.
This is our first AGM since being granted Charitable
Incorporated Organisation status. It's more than usually important,
as two key members of Core Group are standing down from their
roles: Terry Hadley as Convenor, and Caroline Romijn as Secretary.
We will be looking to elect new people to both positions, as well
as inviting expressions of interest from anyone wishing to join
Core Group to help generally with the running of Sustainable
Crediton. Keep an eye out for further details in our March
newsletter.
As well as the formal business of the AGM (shouldn't take too
long, so don't be discouraged!) we will also present a review of
the past year's activities and tell you about the many ways in
which you can become active within Sustainable Crediton. It doesn't
need to be hugely time consuming - examples include;
-
A few hours helping to tidy / plant our pollinator plots around
town, ready for the new season;
-
put your name forward to help out at one of our events, for
example, the Green Fair or one of our film showings;
-
add your name to our tree planting team or woodland management
group, ready for next winter's programme;
-
help with publicity and promotion.
Or perhaps you just want to come along and find out more about
us - you will be very welcome.
