Review of Supporting Swifts in Towns and Villages to
The Congregational Church, High St, Crediton
This was a very entertaining, thought provoking and informative
talk with lots of questions from the audience and lively
discussion. Particularly interesting was how Harleston, a town in
Norfolk, has celebrated its swift population by involving the whole
community- schools, local businesses and community groups. Empty
shops are decorated with nature themes and flags are flown to
celebrate the return of the swifts. All this adds to the vibrancy
of the town and attracts visitors which is all good for business
and also community cohesion.
Very inspiring! Could Crediton do something similar?
