Secondhand September

29 September 2023

Did you notice it was Secondhand September?  No matter if not - we can make conscious choices in where and how we buy all year round.  Buying second-hand items reduces environmental impact as it decreases the demand for new production. This conserves natural resources, reduces pollution, and is a simple way to reduce your carbon footprint. It extends the lifecycle of the item, preventing it from ending up in a landfill!  We are fortunate in Crediton to have several charity shops offering good quality clothes, including deadstock.  To learn about slow fashion, sustainable fashion and ethical fashion take a look at the Oxfam page.
